Anthropic Reportedly Targets October 2026 IPO with $2 Trillion Valuation Expectation

According to a report by the Financial Times on August 13, 2026, citing six existing investors of Anthropic, the leading global AI firm is expected to launch its IPO as soon as October 2026. Investors are pricing the company at a valuation of at least $2 trillion.

Anthropic confidentially filed for IPO with the U.S. SEC in June 2026, entering the quiet period, with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan appointed as lead underwriters. A $2 trillion valuation would surpass SpaceX’s $1.77 trillion listing in June 2026 to become the largest IPO in history.

The valuation bet is built on fast-growing enterprise revenue: Anthropic hit an annualized run rate above $47 billion in May 2026, with investors projecting $100–120 billion annualized revenue by year-end. Its last private valuation stood at $965 billion after the Series H funding in May 2026.

The FT clarifies that the $2 trillion figure remains investor expectation rather than an official company target, and internal executives have not settled on the final IPO valuation. Timing and pricing are subject to market liquidity, regulation and industry competition. Anthropic has not officially commented on the IPO rumors.
